The Florida Bicycle Association is pleased to announce the sponsors and featured speakers for the upcoming statewide bicycle summit, taking place November 15-17 in Winter Garden and Clermont. The summit, themed “Breaking Stereotypes, Building Communities,” will bring together transportation professionals, advocates, and community leaders to focus on making Florida a safer and more accessible place for people bicycling.

The Messenger: Spring 2023
A quarterly publication of the Florida Bicycle Association, the Messenger includes educational information, safety and legislative updates, perspective and opinions, inspiration, and fun. Members receive a printed copy of the Messenger in their mailboxes; non-members may access most of the content online.


Enhanced Enforcement of Vehicle Speeds in School Zones Approved by FL House and Senate
Proposed legislation that would make it easier for communities to enforce vehicle speed limits in school zones has been passed in the Florida House and Senate.

More Good News for Trails, Take Action Now
A bill in the Florida Senate that would expand the state’s Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail network and Greenways and Trails System will be heard next week by the Appropriations Committee, and an identical bill has been introduced in the Florida House of Representatives. The Florida Bicycle Association supports both bills, and you can, too.
